Kayli had her first goat show on Saturday. She did such a good job. Her expectations were too high. I think she planned to win the whole thing, which is a great goal to have, but not realistic. She's a senior, with no experience, and she was against girls who have quite obviously been showing goats since they were little.
She's had a few days to think about it, and realizes she did do awesome! The thing I love to watch? How she and Chivito are buddies... when he can't see her, he baaaas, very loudly. When she's close by, he cuddles up to her. So cute.
See what I mean?? True Love. And, a Goat.
We came home from the goat show, and quickly all worked together to get the house cleaned. We've had doggy visitors this week and with our two dogs, I was done with doggy smell and hair everywhere. I love a clean house. Some say I'm a little anal when it comes to cleaning my house, and I agree.
And all the while I've been going about my business this week, I haven't felt good. Kayli started it off last week with a cold, and I got it too. I can never just get a cold anymore, but I tried to just let it go and get better on my own. Finally on Sunday, I was just breathing too hard, and Wayne decided I needed to be seen, and I didn't disagree. The dr. said if I'd have waited another day or two, I'd be treated for pneumonia, but it's bronchitis now. Antibiotics, inhaler, and cough medicine with codeine is my regime for the week. She asked me if I wanted a note for work because I need to stay down this week. I laughed, and nearly said YES!
Wouldn't we all like a note from time to time that tells us we can't do anything but rest? Well, maybe not. I think I'd get bored very quickly!!
So, the weekend was busy, fun, and hopefully productive in that I'll start to get better finally! Love the goats, enjoy a clean house, and hate bronchitis. Here's to an upcoming good week!
